Our Story
At Home to Harvest when we say we are passionate about the simple things, we mean it. It's not just a saying, it's a lifestyle. It's about creating an atmosphere at home where your family can come and find peace. It's about gathering. It's about being ok with growing slow. It's about taking things back to the basics and really enjoying the goodness that comes with the fruits of your labor. It's about finding connection with real, authentic relationships. It's about slowing down in a world where everything else seems to be forging ahead at full speed.
These days, everyone wants to be connected. Which is great in theory, except for the part where most of the time being "connected" means being connected to some kind of device. I don't know about you, but we're tired of society's version of being connected. We want the real deal. We want authentic connection, laughter, face-to-face conversations, friendship, gathering and simplicity.
By launching HTH, our hope is that we can share our passion, build authentic connections with the people around us and pass this lifestyle down to the next generation. For now, HTH will be a place where people can come and find a friendly face, read and share ideas about simplifying life, get a glimpse into the day-to-day life at the [unofficial] Schmidt Family Farm, and maybe snag a few homemade goods in the process. Other than that, we'll be here trying to preserve the beauty of the slow and simple.

About Lindsey
Lindsey is the founder of Home to Harvest. She is a fierce advocate for all things family, home and the simple things. Outside of her day job, most of her hours are spent wrangling two toddlers, cheerleading a husband who works so very hard (but also leaves his work boots in the middle of the floor), raising chickens, tending to the garden, picking apples and just generally floating from one task to another hoping she didn't forget the last load of laundry in the wash.

Home to Harvest
Manifesto

We believe in the beauty of simplicity. We belive that home truly is where the heart is. We believe that every sunrise and sunset is worthy of pulling the car over for. We believe in authenticity and being real. We believe that laughter has the power to heal. We believe that coffee is good any time of the day. We believe that life is messy, and that's ok. We believe in finding beauty in the mundane, and creating beauty in the smallest of spaces.
